Walking through neighborhoods in Mérida, you’ll notice something on almost every house — a rooftop water tank called a Tinaco rooftop water tank.
Water is pumped up to the roof, stored in the tank, and gravity distributes it through the house.
It’s a simple and reliable system used in millions of homes across Mexico.
